Import Fees

USA
As books are exempt from tariffs, there will be no additional fees to pay when ordering into the USA.

European Union
If you're based within the European Union (EU), there will be additional VAT to pay on your order in most instances. For the current rates charged in the EU, see here. All EU parcels are sent using our unique IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) number. This means that any VAT your respective country charges to import books is paid at the point of purchase and no extra import fees are due after this. This also streamlines the customs process so you get your order quicker. Supplied address must be residential, and not a business premises.

Canada
For orders to Canada, all tax is pre-paid, so there will be no extra charges once shipped.

South America
For orders to South America, all tax is pre-paid, so there will be no extra charges once shipped.

South Africa
For orders to South Africa, all tax is pre-paid, so there will be no extra charges once shipped.

With each parcel, we digitally attach the necessary paperwork and declarations. 

The majority of countries do not charge VAT for books, but if you are contacted by the delivery company directly, please let us know. If you are charged additional fees and believe this is an error, please contact Bitmap Books before paying, so we can investigate. Outside of the EU, Canada, South America and South Africa, Bitmap Books is not responsible for any additional VAT/duties/handling charges on our books, unless the charges are due to our administrative error in the shipping documentation.
