At 372 pages in length, PC Engine: The Box Art Collection includes more than 300 professionally shot pieces of box art, along with carefully reproduced screenshots – all presented with Bitmap Book’s design-led approach. We’ve worked hard to make every page packed with thoughtful, exciting design – just like those PC Engine game covers. And every game featured includes an insightful review and expert summary.
The standard edition of PC Engine: The Box Art Collection features a striking metallic red foil logo on the hardback cover. As with all our publications, we print lithographically on high-quality paper to showcase the gorgeous visuals as the games deserve. We equally use thread sewn binding for extra durability and the ability to lay the book open flat.

When it comes to nostalgic gaming, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the PC Engine / Turbo Grafx-16 / Turbo Duo. Back when the Turbo Duo launched in the US, I took a curious path in purchasing one - and I knew right away I had something truly unique at the time. Over the years I steadily imported a nice collection of games (some that are valuable now) but sold them all off - and the console - about 20 years ago. This book brought back so many fond memories. I’m very grateful that Bitmap Books exists and wish the company success! This PC Engine book was truly a treat for myself. I’ll likely consider some of the other collections. Even as a matter of aesthetics, I like the simplicity of the cover - right down to the color combination of book cover to text. Nice package overall. Very minor observation (although the issue seems to have resolved itself) - I noticed the hard cover was not completly flat, causing it to be slightly elevated when resting flat on a table. But, the issue doesn’t seem as obvious now that the book has been stting at home for about a month. Still a 5 star rating, nonetheless! Last, the delivery was reasonably prompt, considering international shipment.

Disfruté del dedicado a la Super FAMICÓN y este sigue la misma línea: textos pequeños pero muy completos con datos esenciales, una descripción del juego y un segundo párrafo dedicado al diseño... lo justo para disfrutar de cada carátula (a tamaño real y con una calidad de imagen impresionante). La legibilidad del texto sobre fondos de color ha mejorado respecto al otro título, así que es imposible ponerle pegas.
Y el embalaje del envío que, como reseñan el esto de críticas, es de otra dimensión.

Yet another great book. You can’t really go wrong with 80s/90s Japanese box art and this book is full of some of the best.

This book is a love song to the PC Engine as you expect.
And the quality is here as for the previous books of the series.
But what is striking, is how many FANTASTIC artworks are shown in its pages.
If you dreamed starring at Japanese imports in 1987-1992, this golden age is right inside this book. Square, hand drawn goodness.
