    Another hit from Bitmap Books

Bitmap Books are virtually peerless in what they do. From the packaging to the print, the weight of the books to the words on the page, the quality of the paper to the hundreds of glorious screenshots, every aspect of a Bitmap Book is 5 star. This is the fifth book from these guys I've bought now, and no regrets. They look lovely on the shelf and are really nice to read. Top work, as always! This book delves deep in to what was probably my favourite genre growing up. From the super well known titles like Monkey Island and Broken Sword to the more obscure games I'd never even heard of, this book is a comprehensive guide to Point and Click Adventure games across the full age of gaming. Great stuff.

Full of Cool Interviews and Cool Art

I'm a big fan of point-click adventures and was so excited to see that Bitmap had this book in their collection. It goes over all the classics and even some more recent entries into the genre. Full of really insightful interviews with point click devs, designers, and artists. It even includes behind-the scenes-concept art! A great gift for any point-click enthusiasts.

Gorgeous book and best shipping packaging I've ever seen in my life (seriously)

If you are considering buying this book (or any Bitmap Books book) just save yourself the trouble and mash the BUY button. These books are a steal for the price. I thought I would be getting something half the length, and smaller looking at the price (read descriptions? Me? Nah!), which if I had I would have been pleased, but no... this thing is a TOME. And it's not just a bunch of pictures and fluff text, it is absolutely JAMMED with content. Another publisher would have included a third of the number of interviews and split this into volumes, but this is a definitive work. And when the book came, it was like opening a Christmas present! The ingenious mailer comes off and then you have the whole thing wrapped with foam corner protectors (!), then really nicely wrapped tissue paper (with a seal and everything), and then the book is shrink wrapped! The delivery guy could have played football with the package and I'm sure it would have been fine. Great job Bitmap Books! I can tell a lot of love went into this! (Intellivision book when? ;-) )

    A fantastic read

I'm not done reading through this book yet, but I wanted to share here that I've been thoroughly enjoying it so far. It's become part of my morning ritual of sitting out on the front veranda with my first cup of coffee of the day and go through a dozen or so pages, reading the wonderful interviews and the beautifully printed screenshots of these gorgeous games. It really has become a highlight of my day to be able to do this.

If you've been on the fence on whether or not to get this book; get it! It's fantastic.
